Tonogaya Miyuki’s office romantic comedy manga, The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague (Koori Zokusei Danshi to Cool na Douryou Joshi) is getting an anime adaptation! Tonogaya Miyuki released an illustration celebrating the announcement, and the cast and staff of the anime have been revealed! Further information on the series’ anime adaptation will be released on August 3, the birthday of one of the characters, Himuro!
Yui Ishikawa voices over Fuyutsuki, with Chiaki Kobayashi as Himuro, and staff for the anime has also been confirmed with Mankyu as the director, and the animation being produced by Zero-G.
The Ice Guy and his Cool Female Colleague is a manga about two office workers, Himuro and Fuyutsuki. Himuro is a supernatural being, with powers that allow him to control ice and reduce temperatures. Alas, Himuro is anything but a cold person, as he actually enjoys flowers and cats, but is unable to get close to them due to his powers.
That hasn’t stopped him from falling in love with his coworker, Fuyutsuki. A calm, cool, and collected woman who always seems to have the simplest solutions to his problems. But whenever Fuyutsuki does anything for Himuro, his emotions run wild, and so do his powers, but Fuytsuki doesn’t seem to notice! Follow the pair as Himuro tries to do whatever he can to capture her heart, as the two coolest people in the office get into wild hijinks!

The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague’s anime will be directed by Mankyu, an established anime director known for works such as Mobile Suit Gundam-San, the Sumikko Gurashi movie, and also worked on Kakushigoto! The anime’s production will be handled by Zero-G Animation studio, which worked on shows such as Grand Blue, and Science Fell In Love, So I Tried to Prove it!
The anime will star Yui Ishikawa, and Chiaki Kobayashi as Fuyutsuki and Himuro respectively. Yui Ishikawa is known for her roles such as Violet Evergarden, 2B, and Mikasa Ackerman. While Chiaki Kobayashi is known for his roles as Makoto in Great Pretender, and Langa Hasegawa in SK8 the Infinity.
