The September 2022 issue of Shodensha’s Feel Young magazine revealed that the comedy manga Onna no Sono no Hoshi will be adapted into a 20-minute OAD anime to be released on December 8 together with the the manga’s third volume. The special edition is made-to-order based on pre-orders; Japanese physical and online bookstores are accepting orders until September 20.
Shinichi Omata is directing the anime at Lapin Track, and Teruko Utsumi is writing the series scripts. Naho Kozono is the character designer and chief animation director. Hitoshi Tamura is the director of photography and Kei Haneoka is composing the music. Gen Hoshino is voicing the main role of Hoshi-sensei, while Mamoru Miyano is voicing Kobayashi-sensei.
▍About Onna no Sono no Hoshi
Onna no Sono no Hoshi is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yama Wayama. It has been serialized in Shodensha’s josei manga magazine Feel Young since January 2020, with its chapters collected into two tankōbon volumes as of May 2021.
The comedy manga centers on Hoshi, a teacher and homeroom advisor in an all-girls school. The story follows the antics of Hoshi’s students, including penning absurd chain word games in the class journal, getting Hoshi to take care of a dog, and Hoshi having to offer advice to an aspiring manga creator student.
