Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios officially announced Dead Island 2 at the Gamescom 2022 Opening Live, after an Amazon leak as the site listed the PS4 version with a release date on February 3, 2023. The developer also released an official Gamescom 2022 gameplay trailer to give us a sneak peek of what Dead Island 2 has to offer.
In Dead Island 2, the main character is infected by a virus that makes him immune to the undead curse. By harnessing the virus coursing through your veins, you must forge a path to discover the truth about the outbreak, about who – or what – you are, and survive.
The game offers plenty of exciting quests, a crazy cast of characters, and a thrilling pulp story, to truly immerse you in its twisted universe. Re-playability is guaranteed. Add an over-the-top co-op mode for up to three players, and you’ll stay in LA for a very long (and gory) trip.
Deliver combat in the most intense, hard-hitting, rangy first-person experience imaginable, with many weapons and brutal tactical options to blast your way through the zombie gangs. Whether you’re chopping, slicing, bashing, or burning, it all feels equally brutal and good.
Dead Island 2 is slated for release on February 3, 2023, for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, and Microsoft Windows.
