Publisher Raw Fury announced that they will be publishing Hyper Games’ new adventure game, Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley. The trailer also described in its description that the game would come out in the Japanese language, as well as the fact that the title would hit storefronts in physical releases, though they did not specify which consoles the game would come to.
Showing off their latest trailer in English back in June at the Future Games Show 2022, the Moomin-themed game has shown off snippets of what players can expect on release.

Developed by Oslo-based game studio Hyper Games, the title will feature the titular character Snufkin as he sets off on a musical quest to restore balance and harmony to Moominvalley. Players will explore the world of Moominvalley, inspired by Tove Jansson’s Moomin books.
The game features a beautiful hand-drawn art style reminiscent of their picture book origins, opting for a watercolor paint aesthetic. Use mechanics such as playing the harmonica, sneaking around danger to evade the watchful eyes of the Park Keeper, and use tricks from friends familiar to fans to outsmart danger.
As for the residents of Moominvalley, screenshots and trailers including the new ones, have shown off many of the characters familiar to series fans. From the titular Moomin family members to Snork, Little My and the mysterious Hattifatteners have shown up looking like they did in their original storybook forms.
The game currently does not have a definitive release date and simply prefaces that the game will be released next year. As of now Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley is listed up on the Steam store page where you can wishlist to be posted on when new announcements will drop!
Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley will also be featured at the up-and-coming TGS Tokyo Game Show held from September 15 to 18, where a playable demo will be available to visitors, under the indie game areas Norwegian Games Booth.
