The anime adaptation of the comedy manga Onna no Sono no Hoshi started streaming the first promotional video that previews the character voice of the protagonist Hoshi-sensei and Kobayashi-sensei. The third manga volume published on December 8 will bundle the anime on a Blu-ray Disc. A key visual was also revealed.
Japanese pop singer Gen Hoshino is voicing the main role of Hoshi-sensei, while Mamoru Miyano is voicing Kobayashi-sensei. Shunichi Omata is directing the anime at Lapin Track, and Teruko Utsumi is writing the series scripts. Naho Kozono is the character designer and chief animation director. Hitoshi Tamura is the director of photography and Kei Haneoka is composing the music.
Onna no Sono no Hoshi is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yama Wayama. It has been serialized in Shodensha’s josei manga magazine Feel Young since January 2020, with its chapters collected into two tankōbon volumes as of May 2021.
The comedy manga centers on Hoshi, a teacher and homeroom advisor in an all-girls school. The story follows the antics of Hoshi’s students, including penning absurd chain word games in the class journal, getting Hoshi to take care of a dog, and Hoshi having to offer advice to an aspiring manga creator student.
