Capcom has just announced today (19th June) that they will be entering a cross-licensing with BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc. related to online matching in properties such as the Street Fighter series.
Capcom explains that the new agreement aims to improve user experience and the production of titles whilst reducing the cost for both parties. The agreement will allow Capcom to utilize patents they have been granted in series like Street Fighter to deliver new contents to players.
Capcom further stated that they will continue to explore new cross-licensing opportunities to offer more to gamers and the game industry.
