Square Enix released some more details on Harvestella, giving us a look at the Summer season of the game and everything that comes with it, including the beautiful towns that celebrate summer, new food, characters, and locations that completely embody the feeling of the warm season!
Harvestella launches for Nintendo Switch and PC on November 4.
▍Harvestella’s Summer Location: Shatolla Town
Welcome to Shatolla Town! This new sustains itself primarily through its fishing industry and rich culture of living off the land and sea.
After a long day’s work, the members of the town enjoy themselves at the large tavern where many can drink, sing, and enjoy a variety of seafood. The town also has a unique phenomenon during the Seaslight, where giant bubbles appear floating on the island by the sea of Shatolla.
Residents have called this phenomenon the Summer Bull, and it looks fantastic at night and during the day!
At the same time though the sights have caused the residents to worry, with those thinking that the Sea Witch Lorelei is creating these bubbles and that her singing voice is rumored to be able to drag a ship to a watery grave.
So while exploring the town of Shatolla, you’ll come across Heine and Emo, who are trying to rally the fishers of the village and give them courage, as she declares that she’s going to travel to the Seaslight, though she can’t seem to tell anyone why.
And your journey with her will take you to Harvestella’s “water level”, the Coral Shrine filled with all sorts of aquatic creatures!
▍Harvestella’s New Characters Heine and Emo
■ Heine
The inventor with an atelier in Shatolla. This young man spends his days completely absorbed in his work, to the point that the town considers him to be a bit of an eccentric.
■ Emo
Shatolla town’s prized Diva, who often performs at the tavern with her beautiful singing voice. Some say she has a rather otherworldly quality air to her…
▍Harvestella’s Mechanic and Woglinde Jobs
Two new jobs have also been revealed, the mechanic and Woglinde, based on Heine and Emo!
The Mechanic specializes in dealing heavy physical damage and weakening enemies, with powerful charged attacks. Find the perfect timing to unleash these attacks to devastate your opponent!
The Woglinde is a support class that lets you wield magic through songs, and perform charging attacks to weak your foes!
▍Power Up with Skill Boards
Each job has its own unique skill boards you can level up during play to become more powerful! Most skills can be acquired through battle which will reward you with Job Points, while other skills will have unique requirements.
▍Summer means Seasonal Vegetables and Foods!
Summer’s ripe for a variety of delicious seasonal vegetables, from peppers, garlic, cocoa and bellhops!
You can also enjoy the fresh foods exclusive to Shatolla. Sell your crops to purchase these at the tavern, or perhaps save some of your own crops to make these at home!
▍Unique Biomes for Crops and Fences
Harvestella also requires you to manage and understand the unique biomes, which are necessary for certain crops.
For instance, Watermelons and other certain crops need to be grown in an irrigated field full of water.
And certain spices grow much better when they’re in a dry cave!
You can also hire a renovator in Lethe to help you improve many aspects of your farm and home, letting you expand your fields and also giving you a pen for your animals, and a kitchen counter to cook!
