Warner Bros. Japan started streaming a brand-new trailer for the upcoming Tokyo Revengers 2 live-action movie, the second of the dual sequel live-action films based on Ken Wakui’s Tokyo Revengers manga. A new teaser visual was also unveiled.
The teaser flashes back to the traumatic event that Takemichi seeks to undo and also previews Mikey’s rally and Takemichi and Naoto’s time travel scene. Takumi Kitamura is returning to play Takemichi Hanagaki, Ryō Yoshizawa will be returning to play Mikey and Yuki Yamada will be playing Draken. Director Tsutomu Hanabusa and producer Shota Okada are also listed in the staff section.
The first sequel film is titled Chi no Halloween -Unmei- (Bloody Halloween -Fate-), while the second film is titled Chi no Halloween -Kessen- (Bloody Halloween -Decisive Battle-). Chi no Halloween -Unmei- will open during Japan’s Golden Week holidays in spring 2023, while Chi no Halloween -Kessen- will open in summer 2023.
The story of Tokyo Revengers starts when Takemichi Hanagaki learns that his ex-girlfriend was killed by a villainous group known as the Tokyo Manji Gang. At the height of his rock-bottom life, he suddenly time-leaps twelve years back to his middle school days. To save Hinata, and change the life he spent running away, hopeless part-timer Takemichi must aim for the top of Kanto’s most sinister delinquent gang.
