Square Enix has started the pre-registration on App Store and Google Play for its new smartphone game Engage Kill, which is set to release in Spring 2023. In addition, a new promotional video previewing the game was also released.
The trailer also introduces the game system and other aspects of the game using the characters and actual game screens. The narration is by Shu Ogata (CV: Souma Saito), the main character from the TV anime Engage Kiss.
Engage Kill is a mobile RPG taking place in the same universe as the Engage Kiss multi-media series. The original scenario for the work was written by Fumiaki Maruto, creator of White Album 2 with character design by Date A Live’s illustrator, Tsunako.
Set in Baylong City, an artificial island built outside the jurisdiction of any country, the island was created to mine a special resource called Orgonium, but mining efforts have caused an outbreak of D Disasters, resulting in horrifying demons being attracted to the city. To combat them, multiple Private Military Companies are hired to deal with the demons, with the game’s main characters Chloe and Kisara respectively being a part of one of these PMCs.
▍Engage Kill Original Characters
The official website has been updated to reveal eight new characters. The characters revealed this time are original to the game.
Vizzini Family and S.Y.U.N, members of the PMC (private military company), which deals with the D-Disaster (Demon Disaster), an event that takes place in the game’s setting, in Baylong City.

▍Engage Kill Twitter Campaign
A Twitter campaign will be held to commemorate the release of the first PV, from December 8 until December 13. Follow the official Twitter account (@EngageKill_PR) and retweet the target post, 20 winners will be selected by drawing to receive 1000 yen worth of Selectable Pay (えらべるPay), which can be redeemed in mobile services such as Google Play gift codes, Apple Gift Card, Amazon Gift Card, Rakuten Points, and others.
