The television anime adaptation of Oshi no Ko manga by Aka Akasaka, author of the manga Kaguya-sama: Love is War, will debut in April 2023! A teaser visual and trailer was also revealed for the announcement. Studio Doga Kobo is animating the series.
The first episode of the TV anime will be an extended 90-minute episode, and it will be shown in advance at the EJ Anime Theater in Shinjuku, Tokyo, and other theaters nationwide starting March 17.
Aqua will be played by Takeo Otsuka, Ruby by Yurie Igoma, Ai Hoshino by Rie Takahashi, and Gorou Amemiya by Itou Kento, with Tomoha Takayanagi playing the role of Sarina, Yumi Uchiyama playing Aqua on his childhood and Tomoyo Takayanagi as Ruby on her childhood.
MEMcho, a popular YouTuber who appears in the anime, has started a YouTube channel called “Oshi no Ko” and will be active as the head of the advertising team for the anime.

The 16-year-old Ai Hoshino is a talented and beautiful idol who is adored by her fans. She is the incarnation of purity, but not all that glitters is gold…
Gorou Amemiya is a gynecologist from a rural area and a big fan of Ai. So when the pregnant idol shows up at his hospital, he is more than puzzled. Gorou promises her safe labor, but little does he know that an encounter with a mysterious figure would result in her untimely death, or so he thought.
When opening his eyes, Gorou finds himself in the lap of his beloved idol and discovers that he has been reborn as Aquamarine Hoshino, Ai’s newborn son. With his world turned upside down, Gorou soon discovers that show business is full of thorns, and that talent doesn’t always breed success.
