The final season of the anime series Aggretsuko will premiere on the streaming platform Netflix on February 16, 2023. The official trailer and visual key of the season were also unveiled.
The anime series follows the daily life of office worker Retsuko, who relieves her anger toward her boss, coworkers, and the world by singing death metal songs. It has been available on Netflix since 2018, and will now conclude with its 5th season, which will have a total of 10 episodes of 15 minutes.
The fifth and final season begins with Haida, having quit his job, playing around like a NEET after being kicked out of his apartment that is owned by his parents, and living in an Internet cafe worrying about what will happen with him and Retsuko.
In an attempt to rescue him from this situation, Retsuko begins to live with Haida. Soon after, Ikari, a man claiming to be a member of the Diet, appears on their doorstep, and Retsuko is scouted by him. In this final season, Retsuko faces her biggest challenge yet when she’s thrown headfirst into the world of politics.
