Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed a story trailer on its YouTube channel for the upcoming action RPG Sword Art Online: Last Recollection. The game will be released for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam sometime in 2023.
The trailer gives a glimpse at the original story that will be presented in the game, which will be based on War of Underworld, the climax of the fourth main arc of the light novel Alicization Arc. The game will also add original characters and make changes to the story, where Eugeo will be one of the playable characters and a key person in the story.
This new action RPG takes Kirito, Asuna, and several characters across the SAO series back to the Underworld, a virtual world on the verge of ending with harsh environments, designed to give birth to the ultimate Ai, A.L.I.C.E. The game is an action RPG that will also feature online co-op with up to four players!
The video also features the game’s theme song “VITA”, performed by ReoNa, who sang the opening theme for Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of Underworld Season 2.
