Makiko Nagaoka’s romantic comedy light novel Keiken Zumi na Kimi to, Keiken Zero na Ore ga, Otsukiai Suru Hanashi (Our Dating Story: The Experienced You and The Inexperienced Me) is getting a TV anime adaptation premiering in 2023!
Alongside the announcement, the anime streams a teaser trailer sharing the sweet and sour romance between Runa Shirakawa, a bright and cheerful girl, and Ryūto Kashima, a gloomy and introverted boy. Natsuki Hanae takes the role of the shy boy Ryūto, and Saori Ōnishi takes the role of Runa.
The anime series is being produced by Pony Canyon and Kadokawa, with animation production by studio ENGI. Hideaki Oba is the director, together with Hiroko Fukuda as the series compositor, and Yousuke Itou as the character designer.

Ryūto Kashima, a gloomy high school student, is forced to confess to Runa Shirakawa, a girl at the top of the school who is admired by everyone as part of a punishment game. Unexpectedly, they end up going out, but their relationship is complicated when Ryūto overhears Runa being confessed to by a handsome soccer club member, and Runa brings Ryūto, whom she just started dating, to her own room as a matter of course.
Despite their differences, they begin to accept each other and relate to one another. The series follows the ups and downs of Ryūto and Runa’s relationship as they navigate high school life and the challenges that come with it.
