During the Xbox Games Showcase, the previously leaked Persona 3 remake has now been officially announced as Persona 3 Reload! It will release on Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC via the Microsoft Store. Atlus also released a new trailer separately from the event, announcing that the game will be coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam in the same timeframe.
This remake of the PS2 original classic will feature enhanced graphics, beautiful new animations, and voiced cutscenes! And Xbox Game Pass subscribers are in luck because the game will be available on the subscription service on day one!
According to the official Persona Channel, Persona 3 Reload will take advantage of the current last-generation hardware at 4K and 60 FPS. All of the character 2D illustrations, 3D models, background design, and UI have all been beautifully updated using Unreal Engine!

In addition, improved controls and a more user-friendly game overall, including the interface make the game easier to play! Persona 3 Reload also comes with additional character side episodes, dialogue, and voice scenes, as well as brand-new openings and other animations in the production.
According to an interview quoted by the game producer, Persona 3 Reload was meant to remake the original Persona 3 experience. This means that scenarios such as The Answer from Persona 3 FES will not be included. It also means that players will not be able to select the female protagonist, as you could in Persona 3 Portable. He did clarify however, that the quality of life improvements that FES brought will still be implemented, such as the wider compedium and Social Link fixes.

Due to some circumstances, the protagonist is transferred to Gekkoukan High School on Port Island, a man-made island in Minato-ku.
A few days after he moves into the dormitory, he is attacked by a mysterious monster. The attack awakens his Persona, and he joins the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad (S.E.E.S.), an organization where together with his friends, he begins to confront the mysteries of the world.
Every day past midnight, there is a time called Dark Hour, a mysterious time period between one day and the next that few people are aware of. Mysterious monsters called Shadows appear and attack people, and those who are attacked by the monsters are unable to engage in normal mental activities.

A second-year high school student who transfers to Gekkoukan High School in the spring. He previously lived in Minato-ku during his childhood and returns after approximately 10 years. Suddenly awakening to his Persona ability, he is recruited into the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad, or S.E.E.S for short.
■ Yukari Takeba – JP CV: Megumi Toyoguchi / EN CV: Heather Gonzalez
A second-year student at Gekkoukan High School and the protagonist’s classmate. She has a bright personality and attractive appearance, which makes her quite popular among the students. Despite her competitiveness and cool demeanor, she is a member of S.E.E.S. as a Persona user, although she has no prior combat experience. After being attacked by grotesque monsters alongside the protagonist, she decides to take a frontline position.
■ Junpei Iori – JP CV: Kosuke Toriumi / EN CV: Zeno Robinson
A classmate of the protagonist and Yukari. He awakens his Persona ability shortly after the protagonist’s transfer, albeit a bit later. He moves into the Iwatodai Dormitory and joins S.E.E.S. He has excellent communication skills and serves as a mood-maker within the group. However, he has a tendency to get carried away and is treated coldly by Yukari.
