Aka Akasa’s Oshi no Ko anime aired its 11th episode, and as soon as that was over announced that the anime is getting renewed for a second season!
The announcement was made with a new trailer and visual, featuring the girls from B-Komachi and their character song “Sign wa B”. The anime didn’t announce any changes to its cast or staff members, and given its announcement immediately after the first season ended it’s unlikely it will change out any of its cast members or staff.
The 2nd season of the anime will depict the events of the 2.5D Stage Play Arc, the fifth story arc of the manga that encompassed a whopping 26 chapters as opposed to the 8 chapters of The First Concert.
Season 2 of Oshi no Ko currently has no debut date.

Oshi No Ko is a manga written by Aka Akasaka, known also for being the author and artist of Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War, Oshi No Ko is illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari, and the series has been in publication since 2020, and was recently made available on Jump +! Volume 8 of the manga was released on June 17, 2022 in Japan, and the manga has sold over 3 million copies! Oshi No Ko also won first place at the Next Manga Awards in the print category in 2021.
The story follows Goro, a young doctor who is a huge fan of his favorite idol Ai Hoshino. After suddenly being told to handle the birth of his favorite idol’s children, a pair of twins he is murdered by a crazed fan, and is then reborn as one of her children. The story follows him, and his sister who was a previous patient of his, as they learn the truth about their birth, and follow in the footsteps of their beloved mother, and Oshi (Favorite Girl).
