The King of Fighters XV released a new trailer for its next DLC character Najd, a newcomer to the series as she was introduced in KOFXIV!
For those unaware Najd was created due to an art contest held by SNK and Manga Productions, a subsidiary of the Saudi Crown Prince’s MiSK foundation which is currently a majority shareholder of SNK. Najd is voiced by Ayaka Fukuhara and comes sporting a new set of abilities and mechanics that lets her absorb energy from her opponent, which seems to now give access to Retribution of the Unknown and empowers it, unlike previously where it was a hold input.
Unlike previously released characters like Sylvie Paula Paula dn Kim Kaphwan, it looks like Najd won’t be released with an alternate outfit, but comes with a brand new stage.
Najd is set to be released in Summer 2023, and will also be playable at Evo 2023 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The King of Fighters XV, or KOFXV is SNK’s latest entry in its landmark fighting-game franchise of the same name, starting from its first entry in The King of Fighters ’94.
KOF XV has been released on February 17, 2022, for consoles and PC, and has continued to receive major updates while also bringing a new system to the game in the form of Shatter Strike, a sorry of parry attack that lets you negate one blow from the opponent, and cause a crumple state on them leading to massive combos. The game also brings back the “Rush” system from KOF14, which lets players execute basic combos by pressing a single button repeatedly.
Following the appearance and defeat of Verse, the next KOF tournament begins when the new commissioner Anastasia sends out invitations to fighters to join the tournament; the mayhem caused by Verse’s powers resurrects various long-thought deceased fighters from past tournaments as well…
The King of Fighters XV is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Game Store, and Microsoft Store.
