5pb. finally showed off the gameplay of Steins;Gate Elite, the enhanced version of the original Steins;Gate, at Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2017. The game trial at the event was called “Escaping Akihabara and fight against destiny with Mayuri” (lit.). The approximately ten minute experience had an ending depending on players’ choices.

Elite shares the same story with the original game released in 2009. It is no longer a CG based visual novel but an animated one. In Steins;Gate, players’ relies heavily on a mobile phone to make decision. The said phone has also been animated and is no longer on the side of the screen, making the choice making a part of the animation.
The animation is produced by White Fox who also produced the TV anime spin-off in 2011. Steins;Gate Elite is coming in Spring 2018 on PSV, PS4 and Switch.
