Dragon Project is a mobile RPG made by Shironeko’s developer Colopl. Now that the English version has released, there are 100 reasons we should play it. Here is a beginner guide to get started.

Missions

Time for the main course of what you’ll be jumping into, MISSIONS! These are the essential bread and butter of progressing throughout the story. You can progress throughout the map by simply completing each map prerequisite mission, whether it involves collecting a specific number of items or defeating a number of monsters. It’s recommended to complete missions to make significant progress throughout your journey.

There are three missions options that you will have access to and they all reward a variety of items pertaining to their difficulty and availability.

These missions are available every day and can be completed once per day. The rewards for these missions are a bit better from general missions with the option to obtain exclusive summoning tickets instead of gems along with rarer items and experience points.

• Weekly

These missions are available each week and can be completed once per week. You have access to more exclusive summoning tickets and a hefty amount of experience points for leveling up!

Gems & Tickets

Gems will become your primary source in summoning Magi and Behemoths. They will also be your critical source in strengthening your character. You can obtain gems a variety of ways, either through general/daily/weekly missions, achievements, quests, events, and gifts. The variety of gems obtained from these missions vary but are usually between three to ten gems depending on the difficulty and availability of a specific mission. Achievements reward between five to ten gems, which come down to the difficulty of completing certain achievements.

• 15 gems give you access to a single Magi pull;

• 150 gems give access to ten, and one with a guarantee of at least one S Rank Magi;

• 15 gems give you access to a single Behemoth summon;

• 150 gems give access to ten, and one with a guarantee of at least one S Rank Behemoth.

Tickets are used the same way as gems but can only be used to summon Behemoth. You can obtain tickets through completing achievements and special Daily/Weekly missions.

• Five tickets give you access to a single Behemoth pull;

• 50 Tickets give you access to ten, and one with a guarantee of at least one S Rank Behemoth.

Best way to prioritize your gem use will be with first obtaining essential Magi to aide you in battle. Try to obtain all S+ magi for different elements and an S+ magi for HP/DEF. Which will be essential in surviving! After obtaining sufficient magi to barrel through enemies, focus on building the perfect armor sets and weapons! You will have access to many different summon options, but you will have to pick between two different kinds of summons as soon as you accumulate enough Gems, Behemoth and Magi summoning. Behemoths range from four different ranks that you can summon, SS > S > A > B. These ranks play a critical role in summoning behemoths, the higher the rank the rarer that specific Behemoth will be to obtain. The rarer it is, the stronger and rarer items that you will be able to obtain from it will increase. Once you summon a Behemoth, you will be given the option to fight it. Upon defeating it, you will obtain drops pertaining to that specific Behemoth. These drops are used to forge a variety of weapons and armor for your character. The higher ranking the drops, the rarer and higher-ranking armor and weaponry that you’ll have access to crafting unlocks.

You can also obtain tablets pertaining to the rank of the defeated Behemoth. These tablets are used to exchange for a variety of weapons and armor!

Armor and Weapons

Time to power up your character! Armor and weapons are the essentials to strengthening your characters. You can forge a variety of weapons and armor with items obtained from missions or through defeating Behemoths. You can also forge specific armor/weapon sets for a variety of bonuses, such as resistance to against specific elements or stat increases.

If grinding and forging aren’t that much of your thing, there’s an easier way to quickly obtain high ranking powerful armor and weapons. Which is through defeating Behemoth! You can obtain Tablets pertaining to the rank of the defeated Behemoth. These tablets serve three purposes to help aide you in forging. You can trade a tablet for a weapon of the same rank as the tablet, you can trade a tablet for a single piece of Armor of the same rank as the tablet, or you can sell them for Gold and Lapis.

• Support (Blue): Support Magi are usually buffs that either give you temporary buffs, or protection against aliments or some other unique effects. Support Magi have great use on the weapons due to there not being any negative drawbacks besides obtaining an extra buff.

• Heal (Green): Green Magi are usually the heals of the set. It’s recommended to pull, and have at least one Heal magi as they will become essential to your survivability and may give you additional effects such as health regeneration.

• Passive (Yellow): Passive Magi are used to grant you either increases to your stats, or gain additional effects such as taking reduced damage from aliments, or being able to deal damage to specific enemy types.
