Coming in January 2018, TV anime series DARLING in the FRANKXX (ダーリン・イン・ザ・フランキス) premiered a 3-minute long trailer this early morning to reveal a list of cast members as well as the main plot.
▍Story
On an abandoned land, humans have built a moving metropolitan called Plantation. Hiro and the other children live in a birdcage-like place, Misteltein, where it is completely shut off, bolted and monitored. They know nothing about the outside world. They know nothing about the air of freedom. They are meant to be warriors and fight for their “fathers”. Despite all these, they dream of being free one day.
002 is the only one girl who shares different visions. Ever since Hiro meets her, his life changes drastically. When Kyoryu appears, their battle begins.

▍Staff
The anime is a collaboration project between Trigger and A-1 Pictures.
Gurren Lagann’s character designer Atsushi Nishigori is the director of this series while the former’s director Hiroyuki Imaishi will the supervising the animation. Other crew members include deputy director Akai Toshifumi (Gurren Lagann), screenwriter Naotaka Hayashi (Plastic Memories), Masayoshi Tanaka (Your Name) and mechanic designer Shigeto Koyama (Gurren Lagann).
