Kakao Games has announced that they will be publishing the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds creator, Bluehole’s new game, Ascent: Infinite Realm, an MMORPG with a punk steam/fantasy backdrop.
Ascent: Infinite Realm is set in a world of machines and magic where people set off on grand adventures in the skies in airships and flying mounts and build settlements in different lands. The game features a variety of vehicles and mounts which serves as more than just transportation, but also take part in player’s combat experience.
Asides from PvE elements, Ascent: Infinite Realm features Realm vs Realm PvP modes that incorporate offense and defense that utilizes character’s skill as well as the flying vehicles in the game. On one side, players defend against giant airships with anti-air artillery and on the other, players attempt to conquer other realms.
Many aspects of Ascent: Infinite Realm is customizable, from character creation to customizing airships and what seems to be monster customization.
The new game will be playable at G-Star 2017. A beta is estimated to be held in 2018.
