Anime film Godzilla (GODZILLA -怪獣惑星-) premieres today. It will have two sequels coming in near future. The second one has been announced to be Godzilla: Kessen Kido Zoshoku Toshi (GODZILLA 決戦機動増殖都市).
Coming in May 2018, it is currently directed by Hiroyuki Seshita (Ajin), Kobun Shizuno (Detective Conan: Crimson Love Letter), and written by Puella Magi Madoka Magica’s creator Gen Urobuchi. The original cast and staff members will resume their roles as well. Although the plot is yet to be revealed, it is already known that humans will invent a “mecha Godzilla” in order to wipe out the authentic ones in this coming storyline.
▍About Godzilla
Earth. 20,000 years later. Human beings have left the earth for a long time due to the existence of monsters, but Haruo, who seeks revenge after his parents were killed by Godzilla, and his allies are determined to go back to take over the planet that once belonged to humans.
The Godzilla in this movie series is said be the largest design in the franchise. Different from the previous kinds, this one can generate a strong electromagnetic field, and its heat ray attack has been modified. What’s more refreshing is that it even has the property of plants.
