[Qoo News] JRPG The Caligula Effect is getting a TV anime adaption in 2018

Today, Furyu’s JRPG title The Caligula Effect (カリギュラ) announced a new game for PS4. At the same time, a TV anime adaption is currently in development. The cast members has been announced.

The Caligula Effect is already available on PSV in both Japanese and English.

The sequel new game is called Caligula Overdose (カリギュラ オーバードーズ). The mains will appear along with a new female protagonist and two new characters. Not much about the story has been revealed. It will be sold starting 17th May 2018 at 7,980 yen.

The TV anime series is titled Caligula. According to the visual and cast members revealed, it will be a story based on the first game instead of the second game.

The Go-Home Club is a group of high school students living in an utopia-like high school setting indefinitely, while they are in fact in a virtual reality program  Mobius. The story begins when they try to run from this never ending school life, escape from Mobius and more importantly, from its overseer “μ”.

The show is coming April 2018.
