Fairy Tail (フェアリーテイル) mangaka Hiro Mashima (真島 ヒロ) made several announcements on Twitter yesterday. Although the manga is already over, it still has plenty to offer in the coming year!
Fairy Tail was published on Weekly Shonen Magazine between 2006 and 2017, and the TV anime adaption has already got 277 episodes in four years! Finally, the show is going to wrap up soon. According to Mashima’s tweet, the last series will air in 2018 Autumn. There is no information as to how many cour it will get.
Second, two spin-off manga are in preparation by Mashima. One work is a spin-off sequel-ish manga and the other is a brand new short spin-off work.
Last of all, the mangaka is making a completely original manga for serialisation on Weekly Shonen Magazine start ing 27th June 2018.
Mashima did not give any concrete details in his announcements.
