TV anime One Piece is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year with a new anime film!
The last One Piece movie One Piece Film Gold is only two years ago. The new one will premiere in Summer 2019. There is no concrete details available yet.
Ever since the first chapter released in Weekly Shonen Jump on 19th July 1997, One Piece has had nine movies and 851 episodes of TV anime. It is one of the few remaining 90s manga on Jump and the mangaka Eiichiro Oda (尾田 栄一郎) has never got the ending scheduled, though he said the manga is already “70% done”.
Besides this new anime film, an American live-action drama adaption directed by Prison Break director Marty Adelstein is also in the making.
