Kodansha Ltd. has announced today (30th October) that Attack on Titan will be receiving another live-action adaptation from Warner Bros.!
The new adaptation will be directed by Andy Muschietti, the director behind horror film titles including Mama (2013) and IT (2017). David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter, will be producing the new adaptation alongside Masi Oka, and Barbara Muschietti.
In 2015, the series received their first live-action adaptation. The project featured two films, but was not well received in Japan, with only 2.21 Stars out of 5 on Yahoo! Movies.
▍About Attack on Titan
Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan, also called Shingeki no Kyojin, has been has been serialized in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine since 2009. The story is set in a world where titans exist and threaten humans even after the latter have isolated themselves behind three gigantic walls. Eren, the protagonist, and his friends, therefore, seek revenge and decide to undercover the truth behind the titans.
