Today (8th January), Bandai Namco’s Tamashii Nations held a special press conference in Hong Kong revealing a new Gundam figure series called the “Gundam Universe”. At the event, the company revealed the first and second wave of new figures for the new 6-inch figure series!
Gundam Universe is Tamashii Nations latest Gundam figure series that specializes in six-inch figures with enhanced joints that are not only tighter to hold poses better, but also allows the figures to move more freely and more naturally for collectors to more easily re-create iconic poses from each figure’s original anime series. Tamashii Nations’ DCT coloring technique gives each figure more precise colors and details, creating more life-like figures for collectors to display their love for the most iconic mechs of their generation.
Gundam Universe figures will be priced at only 3000JPY per figure!
In addition to the new series, Tamashii Nations also preview several new prototypes that will be released later this year including Dragon Ball Super: Broly figures, Mashin Hero Wataru figures, and Keroro Robots from the series’ 20th Anniversary collaboration with Gundam UC!
▍Gundam Universe First Wave
The first wave of Gundam Universe figures will be released in June this year (2019). Collectors will be able to purchase the first three mobile suits, RX-78-2 Gundam, Wing Gundam, and Unicorn Gundam (Destroy Mode).
▍Gundam Universe Second Wave
The second wave of the series will be released later this year at around October and will feature Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee (Destroy Mode), Gundam Barbatos, and Gundam Deathscythe.
