“I am really thankful for all the fans who have supported the series for 24 years. As an Eva fan, I am also curious on how the series ends. One day, Anno-san even asked me which ending is better if I was Shiji. As the voice recordings of the movie is not finished yet, I am really excited about it. But I also feel sad to know that it may be my last chance to play Shinji for the anime,” Ogata said.

Evangelion 3.0+1.0 is set to release in Japan’s theatres in 2020.
