My Hero Academia The Move Heroes: Rising (僕のヒーローアカデミア THE MOVIE ヒーローズ:ライジング ) recently confirmed its release date on 20th December in Japan.
According to the comment posted by creator Kōhei Horikoshi (堀越 耕平), the movie, in a certain sense, is the last chapter of the series. The movie has used the concept that he planned to use in the manga’s ending and it is extremely difficult to create another ending that is better than this. That’s why he said it may be the last movie of the popular series.
Although the plot of the movie is not yet revealed, the official website highlights that the movie will focus on the unrest after the retirement of All Might, the symbol of peace and the threat brought by a new enemy. Horikoshi will have overall supervision of the film, and will handle the original characters’ designs.
