Upcoming TV anime Young Disease Outburst Boy (厨病激発ボーイ) catches attention with its new PV, sharing the bizarre world of young boys with “middle-school second-year syndrome”.
The anime is based on the 2015 Vocaloid song by rerulili and kagomeP, circling around a high school girl whose ordinary life is disrupted when she befriends a group of boys suffering from severe delusions of grandeur.
Directed by “Clean Freak! Aoyama kun” (潔癖男子！青山くん ) director Kazuya Ichikawa (市川 量也) and featured animation production by Studio Deen, the anime will premiere in early October.
▍Story
The disastrous school life of Mizuki Kyoji (聖瑞姫) starts when she transfers to Minakami High School. She accidentally joins the school’s Hero Club, which is ruled by five Chunibyo boys including Noda, who wants to be a superhero; Takashima, who is also an incorrigible otaku; Nakamura, who claims to be the reincarnation of an angel or a devil; Tsukumo, who claims to be a secret political power broker; and Mikuriya, who seems normal at first, but is actually an extremely narcissistic self-claimed idol. Is she able to stay normal in this crazy environment?
