Based on the mobile RPG with the same title, TV Anime Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story (マギアレコード 魔法少女まどか☆マギカ外伝) debuted the first full promotional video and third key visual on Sunday (8th September).
The PV announces more cast and staff members and reveals that the anime has been delayed from this year to January 2020.

Staff members from across the Puella Magi Madoka Magica franchise return for the spin off series. “Maria Holic” director Gekidan Inu Curry (劇団イヌカレー) is serving in both the chief director and series script supervisor roles.
The franchise director Yukihiro Miyamoto (宮本 幸裕) is returning to serve as assistant director. Madoka Magica chief animation director Junichirō Taniguchi (谷口 淳一郎) is also returning in the same role, plus serving as character designer.
The trio TrySail performs the opening theme song “Gomakashi” (Deception), while the duo ClariS performs the unnamed ending theme song.
▍Story
The game’s story, a spinoff of the Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime, takes place in the burgeoning city of Kamihama. Guided by a strange power, magical girls gather in this town and battle with a new power drawn from witches.
