The second season of TV anime Isekai Quartet (異世界かるてっと) confirmed to premiere on 14th January. The official website has updated the characters’ information of the new transfer students from “The Rising of the Shield Hero”.
Minoru Ashina (芦名 みのる) returns from the first season to direct and write the script of the anime. Other returning staff includes Minoru Takehara (たけはらみのる), who is serving as both character designer and chief animation director. Studio Puyukai again is animating the work.
Satoshi Hino (日野 聡), Jun Fukushima (福島 潤), Yūsuke Kobayashi (小林裕介), and Aoi Yūki (悠木 碧) will perform the untitled opening theme song as their characters. Sumire Uesaka (上坂すみれ), Rie Takahashi (高橋李依), Inori Minase (水瀬いのり), and Saori Hayami (早見沙織) will perform the ending song as their characters.
▍Story
The series is a chibi-style crossover between the light novel series KonoSuba, Overlord, Re: Zero − Starting Life in Another World, and The Saga of Tanya the Evil, all published by Kadokawa Corporation. The Rising of the Shield Hero is a newcomer joining the second season. It features the protagonists of the above series as they drop into a parallel world — another brand new isekai — where they begin their high school life.
