Bandai Namco’s upcoming smartphone RPG Tales of Crestoria reveals a 5-minute English trailer, showing the characters, game system, and more. Originally revealed for just Japan, the game announced for a worldwide release on an unconfirmed date.
The game centers around Kanata, a boy who bears the stain of a crime for which he can never atone. He and his fellow transgressors set off on a quest to defy the very rules of their world. Players will be following their adventure stories and exploring this massive original world.

According to the official website, the story is described as the following:
In Kanata’s world, all citizens must wear ‘vision orbs’ that allow them to be condemned by popular vote if they commit a crime. Kanata is the only son of a respected village leader who runs an orphanage and has begun to harbor feelings for Misella, a girl in his care.
One fateful night, tragedy befalls Misella, and Kanata commits a grave crime in order to save her. In her zeal to protect Kanata from the consequences, Misella ends up with blood on her own hands. Caught in the act by their vision orbs, both are judged to be ‘transgressors’ by their fellow citizens, and ‘enforcers’ are dispatched to punish them.
As they flee for their lives, they meet the notorious Vicious, a man known worldwide as ‘The Great Transgressor’. He offers them a choice, ‘Own your sin or let it own you.’
Kanata and Misella decide to face up to what they’ve done, and fight their lives while bearing the weight of their crimes. Now able to tap into the power of their ‘blood sins’, the two accompany Vicious on a quest to find respite from a world that wants them erased.

▍Game System
The game features a fully-voiced main story, written by “Personal 3 The Movie” scriptwriter Jun Kumagai (熊谷 純). You can also raise a character’s skill in battle to unlock special character episodes.
The battles follow a turn-based system and players can unleash the character’s mystic artes when the Over Limit Gauge reaches its fullest.
Players can obtain Memoria Stones through summons and as quest rewards. The Memoria Stones can be equipped to the character in order to strengthen their skills and raise their stats. Certain stones will transform into characters that join your party.
You can also customize your characters with different accessories and attachments.
