Today (18th December), High School Fleet: The Movie (劇場版 ハイスクール・フリート) reveals the latest trailer featuring the movie theme song “Free Turn” by TrySail. The film is scheduled to premiere in Japan on 18th January 2020.
The animation studio A-1 Pictures is producing, with Yuu Nobuta (信田ユウ) as the chief director and Jun Nakagawa (中川淳) as the director. The scripts are written by Takaaki Suzuki (鈴木貴昭) and Kunihiko Okada (岡田邦彦). Atto (あっと) and Naoto Nakamura (中村直人) are returning as the original character designer and the character designer respectively.
▍Story
It is a sequel to the anime series. Three months after the Harukaze class resolved the crisis, different marine high schoolers are gathering together in Yokosuka to attend a festival, where they can play and compete with each other. Little did they know another crisis is approaching…

▍About High School Fleet
It is an original anime series produced by Production IMS in 2016. The story is set in a world where a large portion of Japan has sunk into the ocean 100 years after the Russo–Japanese War. Due to this, people have adapted to living in the water. Akeno Misaki (岬明乃), a student at Yokosuka Girls’ Marine High School, is studying to be a Blue Mermaid that safeguard the marine world.
