Live-action movie Eiki Eiki (影木栄貴) and Taishi Zaou’s (蔵王大志) BL manga “LOVE STAGE!!” revealed the first teaser video, which catches eyes with several kiss scenes.
The video sheds spotlight on the protagonist, Sena Izumi (瀬名泉水) and Ryoma Ichijo (一条龍馬), who fell in love with Izumi as a child when they co-starred in a commercial together. Ichijo misunderstood Izumi was a girl and was thrilled that he was doing the commercial again after ten years. Though he later acknowledges the gender of Izumi, Ichijo can’t help but develop a love affection for him.
“Akira” and “Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo” movie key animation Hiroki Inoue (井上博貴) is directing, with the original author Eiki Eiki (影木栄貴) handling the scripts. The film is scheduled to premiere in Japan this year. A premiere screening event is set to be held at Seiryo Kaikan in Tokyo on 2nd February.
The film’s theme song is provided by Japanese rock band BREAKERZ, whose vocalist DAIGO is a younger brother of the manga’s story writer Eiki and is also cast in the film.

▍About LOVE STAGE!!
It is originally a manga series written by Eiki Eiki (影木栄貴) and illustrated by Taishi Zao (蔵王大志). It had been serialized in Ciel(シエル) from 2010 to 2016. A spin-off light novel series titled “BACK STAGE!!” is still on-going. It also inspired a TV anime adaptation by J.C.Staff in 2014.
