The live-action movie of Sumito Ōwara’s (大童澄瞳) adventure comedy “Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!” (映像研には手を出すな!) is confirmed to premiere in Japan on 15th May 2020. A TV drama is also confirmed for April with the same cast and staff.
The series follows three high school girls who pursue their dreams of creating an anime.
The three protagonists, Midori Asakusa (浅草みどり), Tsubame Mizusaki (水崎ツバメ), and Minami Umezawa (梅澤美波) are played by Nogizaka46 idol group members, Asuka Saitō (齋藤飛鳥), Mizuki Yamashita (山下美月), and Minami Umezawa (梅澤美波) respectively.
The TV drama is scheduled to air on 5th April in MBS and on 7th April in TBS. The other cast members are also revealed, including Sakurako Konishi (小西桜子) as student council president Tōru Dōtonbori (道頓堀透), Ema Grace as student council secretary Sowande Sakaki (さかき・ソワンデ), Riko Fukumoto (福本莉子) as attack squad leader Hisashi Ashima (阿島九), and Masahiro Takashima (高嶋政宏) as Fujimoto-sensei (藤本先生).
The live-action project is directed by Tsutomu Hanabusa (英勉), who is known to have directed Kakegurui – Compulsive Gambler (賭ケグルイ) and Real Girl (3D彼女).

The adventure comedy manga was launched in Shogakukan’s Gekkan Spirits magazine in September 2016. Shogakukan has published three compiled volume and will release the fourth compiled volume on 10th May, 2019.
The manga follows Midori, Tsubame and Sayaka, an energetic trio of first-year high school girls who come together in the Eizouken (Video Research Club) to turn their anime dreams into a reality.
The manga has won champion in My Best Manga Grand-Prix 2017 and the ninth place in Manga Taishō (マンガ大賞) 2018.
A TV anime adaption, with Devilman Crybaby director Masaaki Yuasa (湯浅 政明) directing the anime at his Science SARU studio, premiered on January, 2020
