The TV anime adaptation of Natsuki Takaya’s (高屋 奈月) shojo manga “Fruits Basket” (フルーツバスケット) reveals the official trailer for the second season and introduces two new characters from the student council. The anime will premiere on 6th April 2020.

He is vice president of the student council during Yuki Sohma’s presidency. He is depicted as alternately lazy and charismatically energetic, strongly reminding Yuki of his older brother, Ayame.
■ Machi Kuragi (倉伎 真知) – CV: Ai Kakuma (加隈亜衣)
Kuragi is the treasurer of the student council during Yuki Sohma’s presidency and a classmate of Hatsuharu and Momiji. She is Manabe’s younger half-sister. Machi is depicted as a quiet, nearly emotionless young woman with occasional destructive behavior, such as wrecking the student council room.
▍Story
The story centers on Tohru Honda, an orphan girl who, after meeting Yuki, Kyo, and Shigure Sohma, learns that twelve members of the Sohma family are possessed by the animals of the Chinese zodiac and are cursed to turn into their animal forms when they are weak, stressed, or when they are embraced by anyone of the opposite sex that is not possessed by a zodiacal spirit.
As the series progresses, Tohru learns of the hardships and pain faced by the afflicted Sohmas, and through her own generous and loving nature, helps heal their emotional wounds.

The staff reprises their roles from the first season. The series is produced by TMS Entertainment and directed by Yoshihide Ibata (井端義秀). Taku Kishimoto (岸本卓) is handling series composition, while Masaru Shindou (進藤優) is in charge of character designs.
