Based on KING RECORDS, EVIL LINE RECORDS, IDEA FACTORY, and OTOMATE’s multimedia project “Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle-”, smartphone game “Hypnosis Mic -Alternative Rap Battle-” (ヒプノシスマイク-Division Rap Battle-) reveals its game system on its official website.
Players can now download the special smartphone wallpaper on the website as part of the rewards of the pre-registration campaign “HYPNOSIS MIC-ARB- SCRATCH BATTLE”. The game is set to release in the second half of March.
▍Story
The third-year of History H.
A new entertainment lives battle, “Alternative Rap Battle”, appears in Chūō District. Popular DJs and Rappers from different divisions gather and strive to win the champion prize of JP$50,000,000.
On the day of the finale, among all the participants, there stands a legendary DJ and his apprentice. The name of the DJ is Doudantutuji Rokuro (満天星 呂駒呂). In order to exceed your master’s superb DJ skills and one day become the most unique DJ in the world, you participate in the Alternative Rap Battle, where you meet with a colorful group of members from different divisions. Neither do you know that the Battle is just the beginning of a huge incident…
▍Game System
Players will play as the DJ apprentice and follow your master, Doudantutuji Rokuro (game’s original character) to discover the “Hypnosis Mic” universe. The main story is fully-voiced and you will be able to communicate with the members from the four divisions.
During rhythm battles (named Killer Scratch), players will be able to play the songs from the “Hypnosis Mic” franchise on a turntable interface. Four types of note will be available, including tap note, flick note, long note, and “scratch notes” (スクラッチノーツ), a game’s original note.
Players can collect the characters under the different costumes and set your favorite DJ on the Home screen.
