The TV anime adaptation of Fuse’s light novel series “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” ( 転生したらスライムだった件) announced that its second season will split into two cours, which will premiere in October 2020 and April 2021 respectively during a live stream on BANDAI NAMCO Arts Channel.
A new PV is also revealed for the anime’s second season.
The second season features returning staff and casts from the first season. Atsushi Nakayama (中山敦史), AD from the first season, is the new director of the second season and Eight Bit is still the animation studio.

▍ “The Slime Diaries” Anime Adaptation
The franchise’s spinoff manga “The Slime Diaries: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” (転スラ日記) is also inspiring a TV anime adaptation that will premiere in January 2021.
The manga is created by Shiba and has been serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine since March 2018. The story is set in another world and describes the daily life of the “TenSura” characters.
Yuji Ikuhara (生原雄次), the CG producer for the main “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” anime, is directing The Slime Diaries: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime at Eight Bit. The cast from the main anime will also reprise their role.
