▍About the Series
One-Punch Man (ワンパンマン) is originally a Japanese superhero webcomic created by the artist One in early 2009. It was then remake into a manga series illustrated by Yusuke Murata (村田 雄介) and starts serialization in Shueisha’s Young Jump Next. An anime television adaptation by Madhouse aired in Japan between October and December 2015. The series also inspired a video game and smartphone games.
The series tells the story of Saitama, a superhero who can defeat any opponent with a single punch but seeks to find a worthy opponent after growing bored by a lack of challenge in his fight against evil. The unique sense of humor and action-packed scene has won huge popularity both in Japan and around the world.
