“Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle- Rhyme Anima” Anime Delays to October Due to COVID-19

Originally set to premiere in July 2020, TV anime “Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle- Rhyme Anima” will be delayed to October due to the effect of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Information about the franchise’s first official guide book and the stage play is also revealed.


Based on KING RECORDS, EVIL LINE RECORDS, IDEA FACTORY, and OTOMATE’s multimedia project “Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle-”, the anime series is animated by A-1 Pictures and directed by “Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V” director Katsumi Ono (小野勝巳). Shin Yoshida (吉田 伸) is handling series composition, and “Black Butler’s” Minako Shiba (芝 美奈子) is designing the characters


Special Live Gets Blu-ray & DVD Release

“The Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle- 5th Live@AbemaTV (Six Shots Until the Dome)” special live will have a Blu-ray Disc and DVD release on 19th August 2020 with all 27 songs on the set list and bonus video extras.

Official Guide Book

The franchise’s first guide book “Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle- Official Guide Book” has been delayed from 25th June to 2nd September 2020. It includes the franchise’s story, world settings, character designs, keywords, etc. The first edition attaches with the new song performed by the Division All Stars, a new song by the members of the Chuo ward, and a drama track.

2nd Stage Play

The “Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle- Rule the Stage -track.2-” stage play, which was originally premiered in May, is now delayed to August. Details will be revealed later.
