Weekly Shōnen Jump today (13th July) announces that the last episode of Haruichi Furudate’s (古舘春一) popular manga “Haikyu!!” (ハイキュー!!) will be published in the upcoming 33/34 double issue on 20th July 2020. After an eight and a half year run, the series will officially come to an end.
“Haikyu!!” has been running in the Jump magazine since 2011, and has since been collected in 43 volumes so far. The 44th volume will ship to Japan on 4th August 2020.
▍Anime “Haikyu!! To The Top”
The second cour of the TV anime “Haikyu!! To The Top” (ハイキュー!! TO THE TOP), the fourth season of the series is also confirmed to premiere in October 2020. The anime was originally scheduled for this July but has been delayed due to the effect of the new coronavirus disease pandemic.
A new visual for Inarizaki High School (稲荷崎高校) has also been revealed. The second cour will center the battles between Karasuno High School and Inarizaki High School in the Spring High School National Volleyball Championship.
The boy’s volleyball team from Inarizaki High School (稲荷崎高校) is a long-time powerhouse that has attended Nationals for three years consecutively. The team has garnered a reputation as the “strongest challengers” for their unconventional play style and tendency to take risks.
They are known for their skilled list of players, especially the “Miya Twin Brothers.” The active players include Shinsuke Kita (CV: Kenji Nojima), Rintarō Suna (CV: Nobunaga Shimazaki), Atsumu Miya (CV: Mamoru Miyano) and Osamu Miya (CV: Hideaki Kabumoto).

▍Staff and Production
The series is animated by Production I.G. Masako Sato (佐藤 雅子) serves as the new director for the fourth season, while the first three seasons was directed by Susumu Mitsunaka (満仲 勧). Taku Kishimoto (岸本 卓) returns to write the script.
The opening theme is “Phoenix” by Burnout Syndromes and the ending theme is “Kessen Spirit” by CHiCO with HoneyWorks.
