The anime film adaptation of Natsuki Kizu’s (キヅナツキ) BL manga “Given” (ギヴン) has revealed the official trailer. It is set to open in Japan on 22nd August 2020 after a delay due to the new coronavirus disease pandemic.
The official trailer previews the film’s theme song “Our Theme Song”(僕らだけの主題歌) performed by Centimillimental, who made his debut with “Kizuato” (キヅアト), the opening song of the “Given” TV anime series.

The anime film is a sequel to the anime series, which was aired from 11th July to 19th September 2019, and is produced by Fuji TV’s new Blue Lynx boys-love anime label.
As the TV anime focuses on high school students Ritsuka and Mafuyu, the film focuses on the adult band members Haruki and Akihiko. The TV anime’s cast members will also reprise their roles for the film.
▍Story
The story focuses on the members of rock band, Given as Ritsuka and Mafuyu finally starts dating after the two struggling on their growing romantic feelings for each other.
The members decide to enter into a major amateur music festival and begin preparing their new performances. Their efforts are complicated by Haruki’s secret romantic feelings for Akihiko, and Akihiko’s continued involvement with his ex-boyfriend Ugetsu Murata.
Tensions mount until Akihiko is kicked out of the apartment he shares with Ugetsu and later assaults Haruki, though Haruki forces Akihiko to end the encounter before they have sex.
▍Staff and Theme Songs
“Mr. Osomatsu” (おそ松さん) episode director Hikaru Yamaguchi (山口 ひかる) is returning to direct the film at Lerche. “BanG Dream!” (バンドリ) series composition Yuniko Ayana (綾奈 ゆにこ) is again writing the script, and Mina Ōsawa (大沢美奈) is returning to design the characters.
Solo rock project centimillimental will again perform the film theme song.
