Cygames’ action game “Granblue Fantasy Versus” officially launched Ver.1.40 on 9th August with new main quests episodes. A PV introducing the upcoming events, Boss Battle Time Attack and GBVS: Blitz, is also revealed. Season 2 downloadable content characters Belial and Cagliostro also reveals release date.
▍New Main Quest Chapters: “A Chaotic Encounter” (Eng. Sub.)
▍Version 1.40 Details
Starting from 9th August, the game can be updated with Main Quest Episodes 41 ~ 45 with new boss battles added.
Players clearing Episode 45 will receive a serial code to get 1,000 crystals in the “Granblue Fantasy” mobile game. Episodes 46 ~ 50 is also set to launch in early 2021.
▍Boss Battle Time Attack
On 17th ~ 22nd August, a time-limited event Boss Battle Time Attack will be held in the game. Players have to fight against different Primal Beasts and soar to the top of the rankings.
A special title, exclusive plates and abundant rewards can be obtained. Ares will be the first boss.
▍GBVS: Blitz Event
The GBVS: Blitz Event will be held on 4th ~ 6th September. Players have to acquire points by battling against each other, and your ranking is determined by the amount of points you have acquired. Battle results do not affect the Versus Rank and you will get points even if you lose.
Players are divided into groups based on their Versus Rank during the event, which means that you are able to place in the rankings even if you are not an advanced player.

■ Belial – CV: Yoshimasa Hosoya (細谷 佳正)
The package includes Belial as the playable character, a Lobby avatar, Support character icon and 2 additional quests. A bonus job skin “Alter Ego Malicious” for the “Granblue Fantasy ” mobile game will also be available. It is on sale on 24th September for JPY$800.
■ Cagliostro – CV: Sakura Tange (丹下 桜)
Cagliostro is available in late October, while four more DLC characters are set to release in 2020 and 2021.
