Today (16th April), Square Enix confirmed that Shinichi Fukuda’s (福田 晋一) cosplay x romance manga series “My Dress-Up Darling” (その着せ替え人形は恋をする) will receive a TV anime adaptation in the latest issue of the companies Young Gangan publication.
The TV anime adaptation is expected to air in mid-September this year. More information on the series will be released in the future.
▍About the Series
My Dress-Up Darling is a manga series that follows Wakana Gojo, a lover of Japanese traditional dolls and an aspiring doll-artisan. Wakana is a typical loner who finds solace in creating dolls in the home rec room of his high school. One day the cheerful and trendy girl, Marin Kitagawa, sees Wakana sewing in the home rec room and ropes him away from his quiet life to assist her in her secret hobby: Cosplay.
The series serialized in Young Gangan in January 2018 and the sith volume will be released in November 2021. An English version is published by Square Enix Manga & Books and the third volume for the English version was released in December 2020.
