Toei Animation revealed a teaser video for the upcoming Dragon Ball Super anime film at San Diego’s Comic-Con online event on July 24. The 21st film for the Dragon Ball franchise, titled Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, will debut in 2022.
In the dragon ball special panel, Japanese voice actress and voice of Goku Masako Nozawa, Shueisha and Dragon Ball Super (manga) executive editor Akio Iyoku, and the Dragon Ball anime producer Norihiro Hayashida, offered a sneak peek at Goku along with one of the new characters set to appear with character design by the manga creator Akira Toriyama. Updated designs for Piccolo, Pan, and Krillin were also shown in the panel.
Toriyama will write the original story, script, and character designs for the movie. A note by Toriyama revealed in the panel also confirms his active involvement in the movie’s story structure and every detail of the dialog. He also suggested fans prepare for some extreme and entertaining bouts, which may feature an unexpected character.
