The third season of Teasing Master Takagi-san anime revealed a new key visual and the second promotional video. It was confirmed to premiere on January 7, 2021.
The key visual depicts Nishikata (CV:Yuki Kaji) and Takagi (CV:Rie Takahashi) facing each other at the port where the ferry arrives, while Nishikata hides a small gift at the back.
The trailer previews the opening theme song “Straight Ahead” (まっすぐ) by Yuiko Ōhara, who also performs the theme songs of the previous two seasons.
Teasing Master Takagi-san centers on middle school students Nishikata and Takagi sitting next to each other in class. Takagi enjoys teasing Nishikata with embarrassing pranks and jokes. In response, Nishikata creates plans to get his revenge, but he fails when she identifies his weaknesses and capitalizes on them. In some rare instances where Takagi loses the challenge, Nishikata does not feel like he really won.
The third season will feature a returning staff, including director Hiroaki Akagi at Shinei Animation. Aya Takano is returning as character designer, and scriptwriters Aki Itami, Kanichi Katou, and Hiroko Fukuda are also returning.
