Bandai Namco announced that the Tales of Luminaria mobile game is getting a special anime titled Tales of Luminaria: The Fateful Crossroad streaming January 20, 2021 [PST].
The original Tales of Luminaria game circles around 21 protagonists, who clash over opposing justice, forge bonds, and grow as people.Players will follow their individual growth and adventure from their perspectives, and finally unveils the truth behind this world when their fate entwines.
The anime will only depict the essence of the story. The anime is animated by KAMIKAZE DOUGA and ANIMA. Funimation announced that the special anime will be available from January 20, 2022 [PST] on their platform.

Time flowed ever onward, to the present day… War erupts between the Jerle Federation, an alliance of countries who worship the Primordial Beasts, and the Gildllan Empire, which has enjoyed explosive development thanks to advanced technology. The fires of war are stoked with each passing day.
Leo, a young federation knight-in-training, heads out to complete a mission in Lunne, a town formerly under imperial control, now located near the border.
With him are his childhood friend and fellow trainee, Celia, and their instructor, Lisette. Who should be waiting for them but Hugo, a former friend turned traitor to the federation, now a soldier of the empire…
