Kemono Friends’ director Tatsuki (たつき) uploaded a short Kemono Friends (けものフレンズ) video on his private YouTube and Niconico account yesterday (4th April). The approximately three-minute long video is in fact episode 12.1 Basuteki, an extra episode for the series that finished last month.
According to the director, with the release of this episode, the production of Kemono Friends’ new work will officially begin.
Kemono Friends is set in Japari Park (ジャパリパーク), a zoo where wild animals worldwide reside. One day, the animals become humanoid due to the appearance of a mysterious substance. The TV anime is a part of the Kemono Friends franchise created by Keroro Gunso’s manga artist Mine Yoshizaki (吉崎 観音). The franchise has also got a mobile game and a manga published on Monthly Shonen Ace.
