Written and illustrated by Uoto, the historical manga Chi: Chiky\u016b no Und\u014d ni Tsuite (Chi: About the Movement of the Earth)<\/a><\/strong> is receiving an anime adaptation produced by Madhouse. A new illustration featuring the comments of Uoto was revealed at Weekly Big Comic Spirits No. 30 released on June 27. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The series is set in 15th-century Poland. Scholars who suggest ideas such as that\u00a0the Earth revolves around the Sun\u00a0are considered heretics and are tortured or burned at stake. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chi: Chiky\u016b no Und\u014d ni Tsuite was serialized in Shogakukan’s manga magazine Weekly Big Comic Spirits from September 14, 2020 to April 18, 2022. <\/sup>Shogakukan has collected its chapters into individual tank\u014dbon volumes with seven volumes released as of March 30, 2022. The manga’s eighth and final volume will publish on June 30. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The manga <\/em>was nominated for the 14th\u00a0Manga Taish\u014d\u00a0in 2021 and placed second. It was also nominated for the\u00a0Next Manga Award\u00a0in 2021 and placed tenth in the print category.\u00a0\u00a0It ranked 2nd on\u00a0Takarajimasha’s\u00a0Kono Manga ga Sugoi!\u00a02022 list of best manga for male readers. The manga has been nominated for the 46th\u00a0Kodansha Manga Award\u00a0in the general category in 2022 and won the 26th\u00a0Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize\u00a0in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
