At their panel on Anime Expo 2022, Spike Chunsoft announced that Chaos;Head Noah<\/a><\/strong> is getting a western release for PC via Steam on October 7 after it was previously announced for Nintendo Switch only as Chaos;Head Noah \/ Chaos;Child Double Pack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chaos:Head Noah is sort of a director’s cut of the original Chaos;Head which was the first-ever game in the Science Adventure series, but that only saw a PC release in Japan. The west unfortunately never got a localization, until today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The story centers on Takumi Nishijo, a second-year high school student on the verge of becoming a shut-in. \u201cI have no interest in 3D.\u201d He lives surrounded by his beautiful girl figures in his room. He lives in Shibuya, where there has been a series of bizarre serial murders known as \u201cNew Generation Madness\u201d (aka NewGen). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The culprit has yet to be caught and has been causing unrest on the internet and television. One day, a gruesome image that seemed to predict the next NewGen killing was sent by a mysterious figure called \u201cShogun.\u201d The next day, on his way home from school, Takumi encounters a horrific\u00a0crime scene, exactly as predicted. Before the corpse is a blood-soaked girl\u2014Rimi Sakihata.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u258d<\/strong><\/span>Chaos;Head Noah Gameplay<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The main mechanic of Chaos;Head Noah is the so-called Delusion Trigger, in which during certain points throughout the game, the screen\u2019s visual state will alter, and players will be able to choose between having Positive or Negative delusions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These delusions ultimately determine the story routes throughout Chaos;Head and Chaos;Child, but they also serve as vehicles to dive into the protagonists\u2019 psyche. Negative delusions typically contain tragic, derisive, or death-filled fictitious scenarios, while Positive delusions tend to be romantic or light-hearted. It is up to the player if they really want to see those delusions…or not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
